"The Cabinet"

I think Donald Trump should have a TV show called "The Cabinet." If he becomes the next President, he could pick his Cabinet on a reality TV show. I think it would be quite entertaining. People would watch. I might even watch.

I think there is a good chance Donald Trump will be our next President. Perhaps "good chance" is a bit strong. I'll just say I think he could provide some good competition. Why? Because regardless of his qualifications or abilities, there are millions of Americans who would vote for him JUST because he is Donald Trump. Look at some of the people our country has actually voted into office! Hmmm I had some really good stuff to put in here, but I need many of those people in office to confirm me as a judge one day. I think I'll keep specifics to myself. I'll just say I worked in politics for a year. It was one year too long! I am completely disillusioned! Of course I wasn't completely starry-eyed about politics prior to that awakening experience. My point is that history more than suggests that 100% of eligible voters are not well-informed decision-makers. There are people who would check his name on a ballot simply because he is famous!

My first instinct is to be infuriated by this and try to educate everyone. My second choice (not instinct) is to simply accept the ugly fact that this is the kind of world we live in...and do my best not to make the problem worse!

I think life will be less stressful when I stop having such high expectations for people. I think I'm ready to sit back and enjoy the ride a little...even if it means allowing myself to be amused by the real possibility that a TV show like "The Cabinet" may not always be the joke I made up! If and when it becomes a reality, perhaps I'll audition. I've already contemplated giving up everything I've worked for to become a "Real Housewife of The Lou." (Ok if you know me that's probably the last show I'd be on...it was just one of the more obnoxious reality shows I could think of in the moment.) I'd probably be better remembered for my work in reality TV than all those graduate degrees anyway! God Bless America!
