Time For Dinner

Brent and I find figuring out what to do for dinner to be one of the most annoying tasks of the day- we are both indecisive and we are both pressed for time.  Plus there are only 2 of us so we often find a lot of food goes to waste and we spend a lot of money just to make one non frozen pizza or mac n' cheese meal.  So we decided to try this place Time For Dinner www.timefordinner.com  it's in Brentwood.  Basically you pick either 6 or 12 meals, each has anywhere from 4-8 servings, and you go in and they have everything ready for you-literally everything, ingredients laid out with the proper measuring tools in them- and you just follow the recipes.  They go in freezer containers and you stick them in the freezer until you want to eat them-then just follow the instructions on the box and pop it in the oven!  We figured we probably made what would have spent a good 15 -20 hours worth of prep work in only 1 hour!  The cost is pretty reasonable, $115 for 6 meals, which really when divided up is about 12-18 meals.  They let you split it into two bags, but for some things we actually took a chance and put it in 3 different bags.  So in reality it's like $12 max per meal, but ours usually worked out to about $8.   We just keep frozen veggies, which cost like $2 in the freezer, or rice, or other things that are inexpensive and quick to whip up as a side.  It has been great because we actually have real meals for dinner, and we don't have to do all the prep work.  The food is FANTASTIC as well!  Probably the best pork loin I've ever had! It also makes a great date- we figured we could knock off $20 of the total price in our minds because had we gone out that night we would have spent that- instead we made a bunch of dinners together.  Just don't forget to bring a laundry basket or cooler the first time you go- you leave with a ton of containers.  They change their menu each month.  But this is definitely worth it if you work, just don't have tons of time, don't like to cook, want something different, and want to get away from boxed dinners! Oh, and they even put weight watcher points on it!  So check it out!
